1-to-1 Mentoring

Individual mentoring for youth who need personalized support and relationship-focused care.

What is 1-to-1 Mentoring?

1-to-1 Mentoring is an individualized program designed for youth who need personalized support or are not ready for a group setting. This program pairs a young person with a caring, consistent mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and stability. Through intentional one-on-one relationships, youth are supported as they navigate challenges, build confidence, and begin to see new possibilities for their future.

Our Approach

1-to-1 Mentoring is built on trust, consistency, and relationship. Mentors meet youth where they are, offering a safe and supportive presence focused on listening, encouragement, and growth. Through regular connection, mentors help young people develop life skills, strengthen decision-making, and build resilience. This approach reflects our belief that meaningful change happens through relationship, not quick fixes.

Benefits of 1-to-1 Mentoring

1-to-1 Mentoring provides youth with a trusted adult who is invested in their well-being and growth. Participants experience increased confidence, emotional stability, and improved decision-making skills. These relationships help reduce isolation, support healthy choices, and reinforce the belief that their life has value, direction, and purpose.

Why Choose 1-to-1 Mentoring?

Hannah’s House 119 believes every child is one decision away from becoming a statistic and that one caring adult can change everything (Josh Shipp). 1-to-1 Mentoring creates space for deep connection, consistent support, and lasting impact. Rooted in faith and compassion, this program offers young people the chance to be known, supported, and reminded that their story is still being written.

Here’s What Some of the Girls Had to Say About Their Mentors

"My mentor is the one woman who’s almost as loud as my mom is cheering me on. You have changed my life so much and I have no idea where I would be without you. I love you!"

"Group is seriously the highlight of her week! I can't thank all you ladies enough for the different this makes with her!" -Mentee Grandmother

"My mentor actually cares and if I ever came to her with anything wrong like feeling depressed, she would really help me."

"I countdown the days 'till you come again!" -Residential Mentee

These reflections show what happens when girls feel seen, supported, and valued. With guidance and care, they begin to understand their worth, make healthier decisions, and move toward a bright future.
