ANCHOR

A foundational program teaching online safety, self-worth, consent, and trusted support, with a pathway into mentoring.

What is ANCHOR?

ANCHOR is a foundational prevention program designed to create an early connection with young women. The program focuses on education and awareness, helping youth understand personal value, online safety, consent, and the risks and warning signs of sexual exploitation. ANCHOR serves as a starting point—providing knowledge, confidence, and a clear path toward ongoing support through Hannah’s House 119 mentoring programs.

Our Approach

ANCHOR uses prevention-based education combined with relational connection to equip young women before a crisis occurs. The program is delivered in a safe, supportive setting led by caring adults who emphasize trust and open conversation. By addressing real-world risks and reinforcing self-worth, ANCHOR helps participants develop awareness, healthy boundaries, and confidence. After completing the program, girls are invited to continue building relationships through our weekly mentoring opportunities.

Benefits of ANCHOR

ANCHOR helps young women recognize unsafe situations, understand their value, and know where to turn for help. Participants gain tools to protect themselves online, practice healthy consent, and identify trusted adults in their lives. By focusing on prevention and education early, ANCHOR reduces vulnerability and helps youth make informed decisions that positively shape their future.

Why Choose ANCHOR?

Hannah’s House 119 believes prevention is key and ANCHOR is where that prevention begins. This program empowers young women with knowledge, connection, and confidence at a critical stage in their lives. Rooted in care, faith, and proactive support, ANCHOR provides a strong foundation that helps youth stay safe, feel valued, and take their next step toward ongoing mentorship and growth.

After attending our Power Over Predator classes, the girls shared what they learned and the steps they plan to take to protect themselves.

Here are a few of their takeaways:

“What I learned today was that it was not my fault.”

“I now know what to do in these situations.”

“If someone you don’t really know says ‘I love you,’ it’s a red flag.”

“A step I will take as a result of what I’ve learned is to not send explicit images and to not text people I don’t know.”

These statements reflect the heart of prevention work, helping girls understand their worth, recognize manipulation and grooming behaviors, and build confidence to make safer choices online and in relationships.
