What We Do

Hannah’s House 119 walks alongside teen girls through prevention-focused programs, life skills, and personalized support, meeting each young person right where they are. We believe prevention matters, which is why we help girls recognize risks, understand the warning signs of exploitation, and build practical tools for a healthier future. Our approach is grounded in the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets, helping young people grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.

We also believe, as Josh Shipp says, that every child is one caring adult away from being a success story. Through steady mentorship, guidance, and encouragement, girls experience what it feels like to be seen, supported, and believed in. With the right relationships and the right tools, they can rise above their circumstances and move toward futures filled with purpose and hope.

What Our Community Says

We’re honored to walk alongside young women and families in our community. Here’s what some of our partners, parents, and mentors have shared about their experience with Hannah’s House 119.

Community Worker

“When I think about Hannah’s House 119 I think hope, a safe space, and trusted. I know when I refer a young lady for mentoring they will be in the best hands and receive the support they need.”

Class Instructor

“Every class, every child I have the privilege of teaching fuels my passion and deepens my commitment. I am driven to help them recognize the incredible power they hold within themselves. When I look into their eyes, I see myself-full of hope, resilience, and boundless potential. Understanding that there have been moments when their voice wasn't truly heard or respected. Though I didn't have Hannah's House 119 when I was growing up, I cherish this opportunity, knowing how vital it is. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of my voice to guide them, to illuminate the true strength that comes from making the right choices. As I grow with these girls, I pour my heart into helping them become strong enough to serve as shining examples in the future—breaking the cycle, forging a brighter path. For them to stand tall in the face of adversity, to have the courage to be heard, and understanding the true Power of their voice."
